Taylors is one of those hard-to-define areas. The little village of Taylors is just off Highway 29 (Wade Hampton Blvd) toward Greer. However, the zip code for Taylors (29687) covers a large area - virtually up to North Carolina. In general, Taylors south and east of Highway 29 is a Greenville suburb, when some of the best schools in the county. Taylors north and west of highway 29 is a little more rural, but is growing rapidly, especially in the areas near Paris Mountain and Lake Robinson.

Overall, Taylors is a pretty good bet - just realize that Taylors varies a lot depending on where in Taylors.

Thanks for the information, the exact are we are looking to move to is by reed school and wade hampton. the area from what i can see seems a pretty nice however things are not always as they appear. we have 4 children with one on the way and are really looking for a safe area for the family for now. If all goes well i will be looking to buy next year probably in the woodruff road area.

That should be a pretty safe area. You can check the local GIS site and search for crime by area, to make sure. Also, you could check the Greenville County Sheriff's department for crime information by area.
