Hi everyone, kind of an odd question.

I'm starting a new fitness/nutrition program and need to weigh myself once a week for the first two months. I don't own a scale, don't have a gym membership, and don't go to the doctor very often, so I do not have access to a scale. I can just buy one, but since I'm only really planning on using it for the first two months, I'd rather just go to one of those $0.25 "Know Your Weight" Scales that I remember seeing in grocery stores over the years and spend $2 vs $30 or more for buying a scale. (yes, I pinch pennies until they scream)

The only problem is that none of the grocery stores in Simpsonville seem to have these anymore. Surely there have to be some out there. I work downtown and live in Fountain Inn so anywhere in those areas would be fine.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

This bathroom scale is about $8. Better than $30 and more convenient than going to whatever location you end up finding that has the "Know Yor Weight" scale.

Walmart.com: Sunbeam Rotating Dial Bathroom Scale, White: Home Medical

Have you tried Ingles? I'm pretty certain I saw a scale in the one here in Inman.

This is what I would do, too. You'll spend far more than $8 in gas by driving to a place (8 times) that has one. Plus, you'll have a scale to use for the rest of your life to help you stay a healthy weight. To answer your original question, I have never seen one, myself.

Thanks 1+1=5. I'll check at Ingles.

FYI I weigh over 300 so scales that go up to my size start at around $40 from Amazon/WalMart/etc. I'm getting one eventually, but I pass at least 2 Ingles on my drive home. If they have one, great, if not I'll order a scale. Thanks.

Sounds like the OP will not weigh > 300 for very long if he is weighing in weekly and on a good program. Good luck!

Try to find a loading dock somewhere with a scale if you need something over 300. Not being rude, but most home scales won't go that high and be accurate. Walmart may have a scale with that range if so just go in there and weigh yourself then leave...

A loading dock?

I've got patients that weigh over 300 and they weigh in the stores. The only time we had to use a loading dock when was a patient weighed 650+ lbs. and was trying to get weight loss surgery.
