Earshot, formerly Manifest Destiny, the music album store on Laurens near Pleasantburg has closed. would never have guessed in the late 90s that these music stores would be going out of business.

Earshot closed a little while ago, but some of the folks there opened Pharmacy Records across the street. Haven't been in yet, though.

Fox and Hound, formerly Baileys Sports Grille closed. Some friends had their fantasy draft scheduled there today, and according to a sign on the door and a phone call, "As of 2am this morning, we were informed by corporate that we are closed permanently."

That's unexpected. Didn't they just rebrand last month?

Default Fox and Hound, 2409 Laurens Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29607-3829

Yes, Fox and Hound was a re-branding of Bailey's. Why bother investing time and money to re-brand yourself if you are closing?

I guess I haven't been paying attention to this thread lately. Finally got out of the house tonight and thought I'd take myself to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's on Pelham. Was shocked to find it gone and the sign down! I know there are a lot of restaurants in that area, and I should have made a better choice. I ended up dining at On the Border. Now, I love the food at La Parrilla and Guacamole's. I have to say that although my service was good, that was the most disappointing dining experience I've had in a long while. The food was awful! I even had to doctor the fresh guac made at my table!

What saved the evening for me was going to Walgreen's and discovering that Dove Chocolates has come out with Mint Dark, a dark chocolate and mint swirl. Yum!

Love Guacamole's too. They've gotten so busy. Lot faster, and easier than going all the way to Papa's & Beer, even though they too are good, just Guacamole's is closer!
