I agree. They are the Best!!! They are a bit expensive though. I get one about twice a year. I sure hope the one in Simpsonville doesn't shut down.

Food Lion on Highway 14: store now 95% empty and everything except cigarettes now 75% off. For some odd reason, there was still a lot of ice cream left and not much else.

Until its store closures recently, Food Lion had more locations than Bi-Lo. If you are looking at marketshare by the amount of locations, Bi-Lo is followed by Publix, Piggly Wiggly, and Ingle's. Walmart is not included because it does not fit under the traditional supermarket classification.
Correction their is an Ingle's location in Laurens county. Its near wal-mart

I was there on Sunday and it looked 99% empty, but who's splitting hairs? I got some outstanding organic, artichoke salsa that I never would have looked at twice otherwise. I agree, it was odd to see the ice cream that was left. I felt sorry for the few things left on the shelves... looked like orphans.

Ingle's owns about 70 shopping centers. Some of those include former stores in Anderson (Pearman Dairy Road) and Travelers Rest (State Park Road), both to see life again with new Ingle's stores.

Good job on correcting me.

Correction: Ingle's has two stores in Laurens County, in Laurens on US-76 near Walmart, and Clinton on Jacobs Highway toward Chappells. It does not have locations in Greenwood and Union Counties.

not closed but moved Dollar General Mauldin is now located several blocks west of the old location (same side of street) closer to Sonic and Wilco/Hess in the old Ron's TV building. Glad to see a lasting business take over this property finally.

Ingles relocated their Travelers Rest store to the other side of town. Are you saying they are going to build a new store at State Park Rd and Hwy 25? Seems logical since the new store is a good distance from the old one. Also, very strange Ingles has never built in Greenwood since they have locations in Laurens and Abbeville.

I wonder if Ingles will expand into the old Big Lots and Dollar General spaces, they still own that shopping center.
