Arby's on Haywood Road has closed.

I am not a fan of roast beef sandwiches. Arby's closing does not bother me.

Didn't the Wendy's on Haywood close to0? Restaurants don't seem to last long on that road.

Yes, it did. Burger King is the only game of fast food burgers on Haywood Road.

Both of those have been closed for quite some time.. The Wendy's longer than the Arby's I think. Wendy's actually has been a donut place or something since the Wendy's closed and the donut place didn't last long.

Those are awful locations unless you're making a right into them and a right out of them. I figure that's the main reason they closed. Same with the old Burger King that was on Woodruff near 85.. Think it's a donut connection or something like that now. If you needed to make a left into or out of it.. Impossible.

If they could take out both buildings, get that light to be a 4-way light (The one that used to lead to Babies-R-Us and all) and put one building on that side of the road, might be better.

Arbys and Wendys were in that location for close to 30 years (since the early 80s). That's lasting a long time. I think they probably sawthose store vacancies at The Gallery and then Crosspointe Plaza and reacted. That area is making a comeback. I am glad Jasons Deli didn't panic after Toys R US and Babies R US moved out.

i think food place near the mall got less to worry about then a toy andbaby store. I thought those two moved just to be in a bigger space b/c that is def. a bigger space on woodruff. LOL never seen one so big.

fast food on haywood doesn't make much sense at this point b/c it isn't that close to the middle class suburbs like other areas.

Apollo King was one of the two better eateries in Berea proper. The other is Capri's Pizzeria in Centre West down Cedar Lane Road. Beyond Hardee's and Wendy's, your dining options in Berea are limited.
