Campo Bello has closed after surviving much longer than I thought it would. Good food, but terribly located in a former suburban KFC building.

I never did try Campo Bello. Anything Italian was usually at Provino's/Portofino's until I left Greenville.

I hate to hear this. We only went once. I loved it a lot more than my husband did. Since it wasn't real close to us, I never pushed him hard to go back.

Some more Parkway-area closings:

R&M Wines & Liquors, next to Quiznos

Five Star Subs, next to Dunkin Donuts

Palmetto Precious Metals, next to Carolina Coffee Roasters

Who, who, and who? No wonder they didn't make it. Never have heard of any of those establishments.

The only one I know of is the Five Star subs and I wasn't about to stop in there with a Firehouse Subs right there.

I live in the neighborhood and had seen all of them but never went to any of them... not surprised they closed. This is a tough time for small businesses everywhere, and if a business doesn't do something to cause itself to stand out from the crowd, it'll follow in their footsteps.

I live in that area and ate at Five Star Subs once. I thought it was good, but my husband wasn't crazy about it.

Wow, always heard advertisements from them on WORD as well as them promoting a Saturday morning call-in show they hosted? I don't see how all these Gold Metal places are still in business. They've been riding this gold buying wave for a long time.
