If anyone recalls earlier last month, there were a storm that moved through the region. Areas in Greenville experienced flash flooding, including East Stone Avenue at East North Street.

Pete's, originally a Clock, was heavily damaged by flooding. A total loss, the original building, as it is onsite, was demolished. The owner will be rebuilding and reopening.

It was flooding that caused Pete's building to be a total loss.

Coach announced it was closing 70 stores chainwide is fiscal year 2015. I do not know what 70 stores will be affected.

If you have noticed store closing signs at the Haywood Mall store already, then it would be one of those 70 stores.

The flooding caused the gas explosion more than likely.

I wonder if the demolished structure had any exposed utility lines. With electrical lines, those create energized electrical fires, technically known as class C fires. Any greases in the kitchen would create kitchen fires, technically known as class K fires. If a fire already ignited and contacted with a gas line, that is when an explosion could occur.

I know Corner Pocket Taproom has not updated its upcoming concert schedule in quite awhile. I do not know if they stopped updating it, or they no longer book artists.
