Not specifically about downtown but it's still awesome to see Main Street featured: NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams: News and videos from the evening broadcast- msnbc.com

It was barely seen in the short story that aired on NBC Nightly News (the falls and a few brief shots along Main), and nothing was said specifically about Greenville. Downtown Laurens was highlighted as an example of recent economic change.

I saw this too and was disappointed. They did get a nice shot of the falls, but then they stopped in front of the now vacant Liquid Highway for the short interview and then showed Laurens. It actually made it seem like they were in Laurens the whole time because they never mentioned Greenville, I bet someone who doesn't know the area would probably assume they were.
