Lightbulb Where can she go?

My mom moved here, Simpsonville, with us, since months ago and have not a friend. I am worried she is getting bored. Any place to subscribe her to dance, or craft making etc? A center or a club? Please, not a social help place or medical help. She is "young" mind and very active.
Thanks

There are lots of things going on. See the activity calendar about half-way down this page on GreenvilleOnline. There are literally hundreds of entries each day. But if your mother is like most people, what will make her feel more at home will be making some friends. Here are some ideas:
  • If your mom is religious, church can be a great way to get into activities and make friends.
  • If she is interested in volunteering, a lot of people are involved in volunteer work in Greenville - particularly people of retirement age. The biggest volunteering organization of which I am aware is Hands on Greenville.
  • There are general interest classes at Greenville Tech and at Furman.

Have you checked out the Simpsonville Senior Center yet? The seem to offer a fair amount of activity and opportunity to get to know others in the city.
