Ugh: High-speed internet (or even cable!) East of Five-Forks? (Greenwood: live, deal)

I can't seem to find any providers who offers anything better than DSL East of the Five Forks area. I'm not talking very far, possibly around the Mesa Soccer complex.

Can anyone confirm that high-speed internet is available- or even basic cable? I've contacted every ISP I can think of and none say they offer service in this area.

I know this is going to sound backwards, but check the phone book. There are three ISPs in my area (two DSL and one cable) that aren't listed in any of the ISP directories/finders, but all three are in the phone book.

PRTC, CenturyLink, and Northlands Cable. I seriously doubt of them service Five Forks, but if any of them do, it would probably be PRTC. They are more Laurens, Greenwood, and Abbeville providers.

Speaking as a former Clemson student that could only get cable Internet through Northland Cable, I would stay as far away from Northland as possible. Frequent service outages and terrible technician service...

I have a friend who lives off of Adam's Mill Rd who has Charter... so I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to get cable internet when you're closer than he is to available "coverage" areas. Charter is actually offering a deal right now for 15mbps downspeed service for $19.99/month.
