Sorry to call you out but based on your name I was curious as to whether you're an air-cooled guy. If so, could you tell me what the ACVW scene is like in the upstate? I've seen one or two on thesamba for sale out that way but are there any shops? Meets? Etc?

I have had both air and water cooled VW's. There are a few air-cooled shops here, and a few more up in Asheville. As far as a scene - I would say the scene is more in Asheville. There are a few a/c VW's down here - but much more up there. If you are in to the VW buses, this is a great group for VW camping - Full Moon Bus Club.

Cool, thanks man. I do like buses (I like all types and models of air-cooled) and have a bay but it's a transporter. I do want to find another one to make a camper out of, though (this one is in too good of condition to mess with). I'll check that site out, thanks again.
