+1

Maybe we'll wander thru when we go to JCPenney - but the majority of the stores don't interest me. Well, the iStore was neat and I like the Tea shop - maybe a peek into overpriced Pottery Barn....that's about it.

I am obviously not the "target audience" they are looking for!

I do miss Greenville Mall. I used to live on Roper Mtn so it was convenient. I kind of miss it just for memory sake but I'm really not a big mall person. I hate to shop and I only go if I need something and then I go in and out quickly. I try not to let it suck me in.

I know there is probably a thread about what they are doing with the Greenville Mall area, but don't want to hunt it down. How is that project coming along?

Painfully slowly, after years of volatile economic shifts and changing developers. Check here: Magnolia Park Town Center

I don't get the bad rap on Haywoods exterior. Yes the parking lots need to be redone and some of the department store entrances need to be upgraded but I have seen much worse. They renovated the mall entrances and food court entrance with stacked stone and wood awnings just a few years ago. I think they look very current now. The beige colored brick looks "in" again and ties in with the stone. Painting the exterior white like they did to the old Greenville Mall or some other color would be a huge mistake. I like the rustic look of it now. The mall is 30 years old after all. It is what it is.

I agree, it looks like a mall. Then again, I don't visit it very often, so I don't care too much about what it looks like
