I had to work all weekend so, I'm no help. Especially since I'm posting this on a Sunday afternoon.

Time for the beer festival! I have friends that are going to the steeple chase tomorrow too. I'm not really sure what that's all about though.

Big hats and lots of alcohol. I don't remember anything else.

There's a lot of things happening this weekend (not all in Greenville but not too far away for the road wariors out there)

In Greenville:

Reedy River Duck Derby on Saturday in Falls Park (ROTARY CLUB OF GREENVILLE EVENING)
“At 2:30 PM thousands of little yellow rubber ducks will race down the Reedy River. Thousands of onlookers watch & cheer as the ducks race over the falls & sprint towards the finish line.”

Hoot'n Holler for the Haven this Saturday (5/5/2012) in Greenville (Hoot)
I’m not 100% sure if this one is happening or not. When I try to browse to it from their main website I can’t find it?

The Saturday Market in downtown Greenville on Saturday morning (Welcome to the TD Saturday Market) & Piedmont Plant & Flower Festival in the Famer’s market (South Carolina Department of Agriculture - 2012 Spring Plant and Flower Festivals) , as Skyliner noted above.

Beyond Greenville:

Spring Fling in Spartanburg, SC (City of Spartanburg:: 2012 Fling Details)

Living History Farm including 1800s Food Preservation demonstrations at Kings Mountain State Park on Saturday 10am-4pm (1800s Food Preservation- Blacksburg, SC - Event - in South Carolina).

Battle for Columbia - Sandy Run (Civil War reenactment) in Columbia, SC on Saturday & Sunday (Battle For Columbia 2012)

My personal out-of-town pick for this weekend:

The Shaw Air Expo at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC going on both Saturday & Sunday (Shaw Air Force Base - Air Expo)

You can find a lot more statewide events at: South Carolina SC - Calendar of Events, Festivals - May 2012.

As I mentioned in another thread, there are lot's of Yard Sales going on in the area Saturday Morning. I know a lot of people who like to spend their mornings that way and many of them find some pretty awesome stuff.
