Looking to change banks from Bank of American to another bank in the upstate. I am looking for a bigger bank because I travel a lot around the South for business. Any suggestions from folks would be appreciated.
We've used BB&T for personal accounts and mortgage for nearly 15 years and are very happy. With two of their checking account plans, you get free checking regardless of the balance maintained if you have minimum $100 monthly direct deposit. I have my paycheck direct deposited.
We have Wells Fargo (previously Wachovia before the merger), and we've always been very happy. My husband travels all over the country, and he never has a problem finding a Wells Fargo ATM. We have checking and savings accounts, and no fees for any of them.
Been a SunTrust financial store member through 3 buyouts/name changes the last several yrs...and only keep a minimum balance to avoid monthly maintenance fees and to cash checks only. I've belonged to one of the top 50 Credit Unions in the U.S. based on assets and membership for over 30 + yrs and would never consider big banking for primary finances. Anyone remember the Banking Bailout?
really no need for a large bank for travel these days with online banking... My bank reimburses me for ATM charges when I travel as well. I use Peoples Bank... now they did just get purchased by a larger bank.. But nothing on the national scale that's out there.
Suntrust! They have been awesome for the past 8 years
