If she likes jazz, then Brown Street Club is nice. It's not quite as upscale as several others mentioned, but I like it. The menu is small, though, so check it out on their website.

No, Stax Peppermill went out of business. Portofino's moved in where Stax Peppermill used to be. Stax Grill is still open.

Actually, no Portofino's didn't move in where Stax used to be but they're in the same plaza area. They moved into where a steak place was. I'm not sure what if anything is in Stax Peppermill.

I second this, relaxed atmosphere and amazing food. I have taken out of towners to this place on more than one occasion and everyone has always enjoyed it.
