Default pickens

I was wondering if anyone has information about Laurel Mountain Inn in Pickens. I have been on their website, but it doesn't have a lot of pictures. I also would like to know why land is so cheap in Pickens, is it because it's rural? I see that it is 30 minutes from Greenville, is that to far to commute?

I know a few people who commute into Greenville from Pickens. It is not very difficult via S.C. 183 (Farr's Bridge Road), so if you don't mind a longer trip that gets you into a beautiful rural area that is much more down to earth, it is definitely worth it. I have lots of friends out that way and love the whole northern part of Pickens County.

Thanks, Skyliner for the info, but have you heard anything about the Laurel Mountain Inn? We are going to visit in November and want to stay near mountains and lakes. We are going to check out Greenville, Traveler's Rest, and Easley as well.
