This annual event is the mother of all street festivals in the region! If you love food, music, and entertainment, get ready for "Heaven on Main Street" in beautiful downtown Greenville. Over 40 of the best restaurants in town under creatively decorated canopies, 30 bands on several stages throughout the festival, entertainment and rides for the kids, classic cycling road course racing, ice carving, chili cook-off, bartender mix-off, waiter race, a celebrity chef's live culinary demonstrations, and more. What else could anyone wish for on a pleasant autumn weekend in Greenville? Plan ahead because this great event typically draws well over 200,000 people annually.
Here are a few snapshots from last year's Fall For Greenville festival weekend:
I absolutely can not wait! I missed out last year because of school, but this time I'm on Fall Break and will definitely be in town. Can't wait for the bike race either, because I missed the last race as well...and everyone should make a HUGE effort to see Civil Twilight. They're an awesome band, and have been recording at OMG for the last year or so. Not quite sure what day they're playing, though, but I'll figure that out.
It is my favorite as well. With the popularity rising for each great festival in town, this one still takes the cake for size and fun over the course of the weekend. This year's Red, White & Blue festival on the 4th of July actually packeded downtown more than any single day event I have ever seen in history though - including Fall For Greenville. I imagine Fall For Greenville will eventually cause as much single-day traffic as it continues to grow every year.
For those interested, another music festival will be taking place nearby and in conjunction with Fall For Greenville. It is called, "Stone Fest '07," and will be located at the corner of North Main Street and Stone Avenue. More to enjoy next weekend in Greenville.
The cross roads are: Scuttletown Road and Jonesville Road...How far(walking distance and driving time) is the subdivision from shopping, medical facilities, schools and Greenville... Is it located in a good area of Greenville...Any info would be appreciated...
