I may try to make a brief trip up that way this weekend and give it a try. Glad to hear it is still good. It has been a few years since I ate at the Rock Hill location.

Can't discuss Spartanburg restaurants without mentioning the one that has a line out the door all weekend and every night.

I have not tried Wade's either. For years, I have thought it was a meat and vegetable place.

I did try Red Lobster tonight for its endless shrimp promotion. The shrimp were delicious.

I noticed Play It Again Sports on East Blackstock Road relocated over to West Blackstock Road. The former location with the defunct Treadmill Warehouse is being demolished.

Where is Kirklands going in Spartanburg? I saw an ad for their new Spartanburg store. They used to be in Westgate Mall.

Kirkland's is hiring currently for Store Manager, 1st Assistant Manager, 2nd Assistant Manager and 3rd Assistant Manager. On the store application online, the zip code for the future store is 29302, Spartanburg's downtown.

I guess Kirkland's is eyeing something on East Main Street near the Shops at Hillcrest.

Hillcrest is not near downtown though.

Right you are, Skyliner. I do not know of any logical place in Spartanburg's downtown yet that can accomodate national retail. It is my opinion Kirkland's may be looking at Spartanburg's east side.

Piccadilly, located at 151 Peachwood Centre Drive, Spartanburg, in front of Academy Sports and Outdoors, closed recently. Piccadilly was a cafeteria format restaurant serving southern cooking, mainly meats, vegetables, breads and dessert.

Piccadilly Cafeteria on Spartanburg's west side has closed (Spartanburg Herald-Journal)

Next door, McDonald's is open during its remodeling to its McCafé format. The outdoor playground has been removed, and remains unclear if it will be replaced by one inside.

Well I guess I have a stupid question. Why would they close a Waffle House? They are all paid for before they ever open. I have never heard of 1 closing.
