Moving to Greenwood. signing papers on the 10th of March Bought a house on the lake.
I know my next door neighbor has a seaplane in his yard. It's on summerset bay. East side of Cross Hill.
Im into cars and love the races. Thank God the wife does also. Wanted a cigrette boat for the lake. No NO says wife, The lake is for quiet times. Wants a tri hull pontoon boat. That will work

I'll be living in one of those towns soon. We're looking at a house in Greenwood and one in Abbeville...getting ready to decide soon. We won't move there right away - we're buying now for future retirement in 5 years or so...Any opinions on the towns would be appreciated!

Well, what is important to you and what are you looking for? That will be real helpful in making reccomendations, as not everyone wants or is looking for the same thing.

Default Greenwood/Abbeville

I recently relocated back to the upstate from the M.B. area as all our grandchildren reside in Greenwood. We now live in the Anderson area. Close to the kids, but not to close. Greenwood has grown more in the past 15 to 20 yrs than in it's entire existance. Prior to then the mill villages were todays suburbs. Abbeville is a nice "little" southern town. It's where the movie "Sleeping with the enemy" was filmed. The town square is quite nice on any given evening. I'm told that Abbeville is actually where the first act of secession was. Greenwood boasts many new buisnesses like Fugi Film. well, I guess that it's not so new now but it is the largest fugi in the world and created many new jobs. It's a good place to live for a lot of reasons...
