Just curious, what town you in the Upstate, or area, neighborhood in and around Greenville would you recommend to your friends to relocate to and why? (Within a 30 minute drive to downtown or less)

There are many towns in the upstate, it depends on your taste. Greer, Travelers Rest, Mauldin, Fountain Inn, Simpsonville are all close to Greenville which is the economic heartbeat of the upstate. Greenville hands down for entertainment and shopping options as it's larger and further ahead in development and growth. Anderson and Spartanburg are on either side of Greenville. They both have some nice options if you want something smaller, but not too small. Lots of information already in the forum. Hope this helps some.

I prefer the area of Greer near Batesville and Pelham Rd. It's safe, family friendly, there are very good schools here, it's close to shopping, etc. Some neighborhoods in this area would be Sugar Creek, Sugar Mill, Riverwood Farms, Shelburne Farms, Thornblade, Barrington Park. Look also at neighborhoods along Devenger Rd. The zip code is 29650. Greer has a great little downtown and smaller festivals, and we're also only 15 minutes from downtown Greenville and everything it offers. Good luck with your search!
