The hospital system has become more than hospitals in recent decades. Many physician and specialty groups and medical education have become vital assets of the medical system.
Wait 'til Palmetto Bank gets a load of GHS' new logo. That lawsuit will tack a few bucks onto patient bills, too.
Do you have any idea how many organizations in SC have the same or a similar image as part of their logos?? Not a big deal AT ALL. Besides, I believe the palmetto image is homage to GHS's relationship with the University of South Carolina medical school.
I don't have a problem with this. With the Life Center, Swamp Rabbit Trail, and USC medical school GHS is much more than just a hospital now. Plus the current name was too long and a mouthful to say.
Silly move. It's still a hospital "system" and hopefully will stay the same.

The Greenville Hospital System has become more than a collective of five hospitals, multiple Life Center locations and numerous practices in many specialties with a common goal to improving health overall through preventative measures and treatment for mostly anything. Becoming Greenville Health System is reflective of how everyone works together focusing on better health.
