The idea of live and let live is nice, but I believe it is a very submissive and complacent way to live. When the community you're in is devout conservative and lives by the bible and the only way to make it is NOT to share your views how do we learn? Who do we have educated discussions with? How do we contribute to our community?

I Agree I would love to hear group start up that wanted to have a glass of wine and stir up discussions about whatevers going on in the world. How is the coffee shop scene?

While I agree with you that the number of people who voted for Bush in Greenville county is shocking. One in three people did not for him, however. That's a lot of people here. I don't know the numbers precinct by precinct, but I would guess it's closer to 50/50 in the city of Greenville itself. Does anyone know the numbers on that?

I also agree that talking issues over a glass of wine/beer is fun, but isn't fun a sin? It would just be us sinners, I guess.
