I just want Ed to see the ballrooms go up, but cost is just too much, for the junk that goes along with it, charity event or not. Maybe if they didn't charge parking and lower the fee more people would be inclined to up, and better entertainment would help. Same goes for 4th fireworks and concert!
We went today.
The atmosphere is nice and the balloons are really awesome.
The outrageously high prices are very disappointing though. It's just disgusting that a lot of people probably can't let their kids enjoy all the things that kids should be able to enjoy.

Buy On Get One??!! What happened to Monday, being a FREE entry day and just pay for parking? Seems to me that the attendance is off and they may be scrambling to make money? $29.00 to park and entry fee for two, way too much money for regular folks. They better rethink this for next year. Maybe change the name back to Freedom, might help. Sit outside the park (somewhere) and watch the balloons take off. Follow them to see them land. Doesn't cost much money that way. JMHO.
Don't festivals make their money from vendors? The bad p.r is killing this thing.
There were 40,000 people that attended. Was told by a policeman that works the event that Saturday was more crowded than he had seen it in a few years. Those 40,000 must not know about the "bad public relations", if that really existed.
