Does anyone know of a basketball program for girls (upper elementary/middle school age) in the Greenville area? Something year-round, or certain day camps or clinics or after school? Our daughter has been playing with the YMCA for the last 3 years and really enjoys it. It only lasts a couple of months and then it is over and we have to wait another year. It takes place around the same time as Upward basketball, so she can't do both.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Furman University has a basketball camp but it probably last only a week or so. Not sure of anything that lasts all year.

Glad to see this thread revived. As much as we like the YMCA program, their sports calendar changed and we were not able to play basketball with them this year. Our only option was Upward, and we are doing that right now. It is a nice program and well-organized. The coaches are good. However, it is not as competitive as the YMCA, and the courts are smaller. It was better than not playing ball at all, and we are still on the lookout for year-round practice for our daughter. I am thinking about emailing the middle school coaches and asking them what is available for girls. The girls that already play basketball in middle school (starting in 7th grade, I think) more than likely got practice somewhere before trying out.
