Does anyone have new information on the Hollingsworth Legacy Park and the housing development around it?
Looks like there was alot coming out when it was announced in 2005 (?) and 2006, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what's going on now.

Thanks for sharing your pictures g-man430, and providing links! I've actually looked at the websites before, and I guess that's all the info I can expect to get right now. I was specifically wondering if
a) Any non-retirement homes were being built within the next year and
b) What the price point would be for the homes

The Verde website mentions a community from "starter homes to estates" but I have a feeling their idea of a "starter home" and mine are completely different....

I'm wondering because it looks like a pretty well thought out community, and the idea of having a park and trails within easy walking distance is *very* appealing to me.

As Bezu Fache said to Robert Langdon in the Da vinci code "a scare on the face of Greenville "

Mr. Hollingsworth would no doubt have preffered a large park. Instaead they mowed down all the green space, ran out all the wild life and they are building yet more strip malls and houses.

Default Housing around Hollingsworth Park

I know someone who interviewed for the sales position to sell the houses going in around Legacy park at verdae and apparently it is going to be two story historical homes in the $450K-550K range. They said they are planning to have houses in all ranges but the one's right next to the park that are going in soon will be in that range. It's about time they get something going....they have been moving dirt around for a long time now!

Apparently the whole place is designed around the look and feel of old historic towns where things are in walking distance and people are less dependent on cars to get everywhere. Right across from the park is going to be a little section of shops and a fitness center one day. That would be cool if you could walk to get a coffee or workout and not have to drive thru traffic.

Saw the front page of the Greenville News today, they had an article about the park and info on the homes and stuff. It looks like it's gonna be really nice.
