I would LOVE to see a more updated store such as World Market replace the Greer Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby is pretty much filled with outdated and tacky décor. Everything in that store appears to be made in China by child labor, purchased by Hobby Lobby buyers for 10 cents, with a 2,000% mark up on their retail prices. Lots of composite plastic, cheap toxic junk. Their parking lot usually has a lot of free spaces.

I agree it is not a business I prefer to see. It is something that will attract and earn business.

I think a Genghis Grill is moving into Downtown Greer! A vacant building recently had the storefront taken out and construction is ongoing.a
A truck with Genghis Grill decals was parked out front. Now they could have been delivering food but I prefer to hope for the best. :-) We'll see. That would be an excellent addition to the downtown.

Not sure if this is the same location you are speaking of but Wild Ace is moving from it's current location to 103 Depot St downtown Greer. Pretty much directly behind where they are located now.
