Foothills Art Glass must vacate 300 Trade Street for a boutique bank | GreerToday.com

Wow! Just what we need in DT Greer...a boutique bank! That will really bring more people down to DT Greer!

Default Countybank, 300 Trade Street, Greer, South Carolina 29651-3432

I do not see Greenwood-based Countybank being a boutique bank. It is another bank with BB&T, BNC Bank, CresCom, SunTrust, TD Bank, United Community Bank, and Wachovia present in Greer.

I'm giving up on any new retail coming to the Wade Hampton area of Greer. They can't even finish the shopping center with Kohl's. Its been sitting stale for years and the Belk remodel several years back never materialized. Sad.

Piedmont Marketplace could have Five Below, Ulta Beauty, and Ross join Tractor Supply Company #747 and Kohl's #1473.

Personally, Five Below, Ulta Beauty, and Ross would be lame additions. A Publix supermarket would be a great addition. The problem holding Publix back is a lack of direct access from North Buncombe Road. Locating along Locust Hill Road outside the City of Greer could be doable.

Ross would be a great addition, the others not so much, IMHO.

I heard Leon Hix bought the 2 properties next to QT on WH and he owns the property on the other side of WH. Wonder if Publix can find a way to work it to put a store on, but wonder if its too small.

Does anyone know what's being planned on 14 between storage place and Dollar General, near Tooter Town sign? Land has been leveled.

You mean the land next to the bridge on 14 right near Pelham? They've been playing Tonka trucks on that site for a long time. Part of me wonders if they're just selling the dirt.

No, this is north side of WH as you'd be going to Landrum.
