Hi gang. I have several used cell phones - 2 iphones - in my office cabinet that I no longer need. I've read about those cell phone vending machines that pay you on the spot. Where could I sell my old phones in the Greenville area? And please don't tell me Ebay or on-line....I just hate dealing with the on-line stuff and I've heard stories about how folks say that your phone doesn't work, etc.. and they send you something completely different when they make the "return". Thanks for any info you can share.
Yeah, there is an Apple store in the mall as well, which I didn't think about. I will be needing a new laptop for the office so I can check out their credit option. Thank you.
I've sold several iphones through Gazelle.com (sp?) and it was a very simple, fast, and positive experience. You get an online quote, they send you free shipping materials, and you get a check or direct deposit within a week or two. It's nothing like eBay or Craigslist, it's very safe and easy.
Thanks everyone for the helpful info. This forum is a great resource because of people like you who take the time to contribute. I have several really good options now.... I'll let you know which one worked out best. I'm going to compare the kiosk with techrebuy for now because we have decided to go a different route on the new office laptop so I won't be able to use an Apple Store credit anytime soon. But that is helpful for the future.
You'll get a lot less if you sell it back to one of those companies versus just selling it yourself on eBay, just an FYI. A lot less meaning like probably half the amount.

I also used gazelle, and I agree on its ease of use. They offered $15 for my busted 3S and then paid me the $15 after I sent it to them. I believe their offer for one in good condition was $45, and $60 for an excellent. I think the only requirement for functionality is that the phone turns on when plugged in.
