Things like Dave and Busters, Toby Keith's, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, larger convention center, zoo, more parks and trails. It should though, because it's a larger area. It would take a while to compile a list.

AM does have a few restaurant chains not at Haywood but Greenville has most of those and more along Woodruff . Just don't see much of a difference at all.
H&M is under construction in the Augusta mall... Belk was suppose to move across the river from South Carolina(North Augusta), but the original concept of the Village at Riverwatch fell victim to the 2007/2008 economy..

The newer retailers in Augusta are spread out across the city too..

Village at Riverwatch= Cabelas, Costco, outlet mall
Augusta Exchange= Ulta, Panda Express, etc
Washington Crossing= Whole Foods, DSW, Home Goods
Carmax area= Gander Mountain

A lot of that stuff isn't stuff most people care about, like Trader Joe's. The zoo in Columbia is right up the road too.

Greenville does have more from an nature standpoint. A better location near the mountains.

I always thought Augusta was similar to Greenville in that there is one big centralized mall and shopping area, while other places like Charleston and Columbia have multiple malls. Greenville doesn't feel significantly bigger to me but maybe that is because I never go to the western part of the metro.
There is still more available overall in Greenville.

And continues to build on that. The amount of projects proposed and under construction currently for downtown Greenville is mind boggling.

Neither Haywood or Augusta are A list malls, does not matter which one is perceived the best.

Mind boggling?

Sure, there is construction but keep it in perspective. Not sure about Augusta but a lot of cities have numerous construction projects, Columbia does, Charleston does, Greenville does, Asheville does and Charlotte has between 15-20 highrises in different stages of the construction pipeline....along with10k apartments. Not sure I would call Greenville's environment mind boggling considering what is also happening in other cities.
