My husband likes to do open mic nights with his acoustic guitar on occasion.

He found out there is one at Java Jolt (1099 E Butler Rd Greenville, SC 29607
(864) 281-3889)
but has not been yet since we just moved a couple weeks ago!

I still haven't found any places that have full band open mic. The only thing I've found is acoustic. I'd like to find open mic with drums, electric and bass guitar, etc.

Rythm & Blues in Greer has open mic nights on Tuesday evenings. Or at least they used to, you may want to give them a call. I haven't been there in a few months but my buddy is the guitarist for the Mac Arnold Band and he plays out there on Tuesdays. Even though it is blues oriented the band takes requests of most any song genre it seems from my experience and then just get up and wail away. Not to mention it's a cool place too! I've been thinking about getting back out there soon myself. Last time I was there I played drums for a song or two, also.

They do but I was under the impression it was just blues. Never been though. I've been there plenty other times and we enjoy the bands that play there.

There is an Open MIC every THURSDAY at the NU WAY in Spartanburg. I still play with the house band occasionally, doing keyboards.
Donnie is the guy you should talk to about sitting in. He's really laid back. They have Guitar, Bass, Drums, (sometimes keyboards), and of course, LOUDNESS ( if you want it!) It starts around 9:00 or later. Be prepared to do anything from Blues Southern Rock, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, or whatever you can think of. If you play Waltzs or Polkas, there's a door that you can fit through RIGHT AWAY!! LOL. The crowd ranges from young to old. It's on Kennedy Street.
