Our son and fiance live in Greenville. We will be there mid - end of November, then on the road, and back again for good mid-end January. We will be looking for a sublet or rental. We are retired. My dh is 65, and I am 50, married 30 years. We are excited about our new adventure.

Welcome. What area of Greenville are you planning on living in?
I dont' know much about the downtown rental scene because I am on a lower budget.
You could possibly look at renting an older condos like Ingleside on Pelham Road which is near Haywood Road and the big mall as well as the interstate into downtown. I don't know if short term condo rental will be a possiblity but you never know in this housing market.
I stayed in this extended stay place in Simpsonville called Value Place for a week for just over 200 dollars and it was furnished. I guess that could work for you if you are willing to pay a little more and not have to go into a lease contract.

Thank you! I really appreciate your input. Ideally, we would like to stay under $1000 per month. I know that may not be possible for a short term lease. It will be interesting to see how it all works out. I am looking forward to NOT being a homeowner for a while, LOL!!
