So, interesting story. I live in Charleston and there was an accident at my residence in Greenville the other day where my neighbor's car rolled down the hill and flattened my metal chain-link fence. Instead of trying to rebuild it, I thought it would be best to scrap it. The perimeter of the fence is pretty large. I don't know the actual yard size but can send pictures if need be.
Any idea who would be willing to buy this metal and haul it away?
Not likely to find someone to buy it AND haul it away. Maybe one or the other. I don't think fencing is worth much per pound if you haul it in to a center. omnisource.com is probably the best place to go for most per pound if you take it in. Or post on here or craigslist offering free if you haul. An individual not likely to have the tools to remove the posts that are in cement.
omnisource in berea pays pretty good,as well as adams off of white horse road. scrap metal right now is about 11.00 per hundred pounds,so dont look at making a killing unless you have alot to go with it. if its worth a little i might beable to come haul it for you. or if you have a truck we can haul it together and split it. Just a offer.
