Spartanburg has some high crime areas but in most places in the city you can feel perfectly safe. As far as North Spartanburg if you are referring to the Northside of Spartanburg in the city limits its not too great. Howard Street runs through North side and is one of the worst areas in Spartanburg for crime. If you're talking farther north like above Hearon Circle I would say you're fine. It's not a bad area at all. Most of Boiling Springs and the towns North of Spartanburg are very nice. The worst parts of the Spartanburg area is anything North or South of Spartanburg near downtown.

The homes we are looking at are in Chesnee and the inman, boiling springs area. Are those nice places? I like to walk with the kids and ride bikes, don't need to be getting robbed or anything scary.

Inman recently converted a former railroad spur line bed into a trail. It is used for walking. Cycling I do not know. It is definitely a good area.

Boiling Springs is a growing area. I do not see many decent places to ride bicycles on major roads.

Chesnee is similar to Inman on a smaller scale.

I do not think you will have any crime in the three communities.

x2 on Inman.

Nice area, pretty quiet. A mix of suburban, semi-rural, and rural out there.
