Does anyone know how they work their shifts? Do they have you work seven days a week?
I work at ZF Gray Court as a CNC machinist and we have three different shifts. First shift is 7:00am-3:30pm, second shift is 3:00pm-11:30pm, and third shift is 11:00pm-7:30am. The second and third shift includes a 30 cent per hour raise over the first shift. Anything over 40 hours a week working is considered overtime and is time and a half paid per hour. If you work a seventh day in a row in a one week time period then that seventh day is double paid per hour. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Yes we are. Our plant started on a 500,000 square foot expansion a few weeks ago that will add at least 450 new jobs this year. We're going from 1,200 workers currently to 1,650 workers by the end of 2014. We're also going from 800,000 transmissions built in 2013 to 1.2 million built this year. Our current customers include Land Rover, Chrysler, Jaguar, and soon to be Acura.
Is it a direct hire or are people hired on as an HTI employee? What is the starting wage?
It depends. If you go into assembly then it's temp and through HTI. It's also one of the lowest paying jobs they have starting at $11 an hour. Everything else for the most part is full time direct hire into ZF from HTI and has a higher hourly wage.
I have a certification in Cnc training and operations. Would I be eligible for direct-hire? I've spent the past 3years in production and quality , running Cnc machines and programming. Have a skill for the code and coordinates. I would like to make a career in engineering, would they be eager to help me further my education in this field? Thank you for your time.
