The head of TD Bank’s American operation says the company plans more hiring to meet its goal of 1,400 jobs at its corporate campus in Greenville, a commitment made following TD’s acquisition of The South Financial Group, parent of Carolina First Bank.
Mike Pedersen said TD has hired more than 900 employees at the campus and will continue hiring until the company achieves its goal.
The positions would be “a breadth of different corporate and operational jobs,” bank officials said at the time. TD officials said Monday the new jobs will include customer-service employees, back-office support and others working in data security, small business administration and retail card services.
TD plans on hiring more mortgage-loan officers and more financial advisers in its stores, or branches, to help people with savings and investment needs, he said. The company this year also should increase its number of branches, Pedersen said.
