They still seem to be having issues with the 97.1 signal. But if you have an HD Radio, then you get clear reception on WFBC 93.7 HD-3 channel. They sell various Pioneer and JVC HD car radios at Best Buy, and there is an Insignia portable radio for $51.00.

Bob and Sheri have recently added 94.1 The Lake in Seneca (or is it 103.3 WSNW ?? ). But never mind, I can't pick either one up in Greenville anyway.

Yes, the 97.1 FM signal is so far a dismal failure. However, the 950 AM signal is strong for me, all the way to Blacksburg, so I can listen all the way to work. The afternoon show still needs some help, though, but they seem to be getting the hang of it a little more.

All you need is a radio with an external antenna connection. Connect a set of rabbit ears and 107.9 comes in fine. It is just spotty in the car. But I do wish they would go back to their original antenna pattern, as their signal used to be very clear in Greenville. But after Jefferson-Pilot sold the station, the new owners wanted to concentrate their signal more to the east of Charlotte. So you just need a decent radio with a 75ohm cable connector and you should be good. Or you could listen to their online streaming signal. As for 94.1, in this area it is a simulcast of Hot 98.1.

They are also simulcasting ESPN Upstate on 97.7-FM, which is the old Chuck FM frequency. And the Charlotte sports station WFNZ is now simulcast on WLNK-107.9HD3, if you have an HD Radio. WFNZ and WLNK are now also owned by Entercom. But car reception is now poor in Greenville County due to a local interference low power station, but a good rabbit ears or attic antenna can pull it in.

In regards to Entercom, it announced two weeks ago the acquisition of CBS Radio. CBS is divesting its portfolio of radio stations and focusing more on programming.
