Stay on the very limited yet long swamp rabbit trail or you risk being run over during work commutes. Weekend mornings are pretty safe on heavily red-lighted roads like in downtown.
There are some intrepid individuals who risk it, but with the lack of any true traffic law enforcement, high growth, high traffic, and overcrowded and crumbling roads, it is a risk to drive Greenville roads in a air-bagged car let alone on a bike during rush hours.
