This site is large enough to accommodate an 80,000 square feet Ingle's with drive through pharmacy, I-Mart fuel center, Starbuck Coffee, garden center and walk-in beer cooler. Access from Harrison Bridge Road would be easier than driving through Fairview Road traffic.
In regards to the location of Ingle's store 42 in Mauldin, there may be crews inside the former Big Lots and Dollar General preparing for demolition.

I know work on Red Lobster is yet to commence.
I saw some activity over there the other day...since, nothing. Waiting!

By now, all salvageable fixtures and building materials should be out; all or most utilities are turned off and disconnected; and plans are in place to contract the demolition.
I know at one point before the housing/construction bubble burst that lot was suppose to be a bestbuy/hobby lobby/other big box stores. But that fell away I guess...I would personally love to see a few of those open so I dont have to go to Woodruff road....A sams down that way might be nice too.
Simpsonville can definitely support those stores. If they are opening on Woodruff Road, Greer and Cherrydale Point, they can make their way down to Simpsonville.
I wonder what that site is more likely to see in the near future. I can definitely see Ingle's working to replace aging stores with much larger locations (i.e. store 29 on Augusta Road in Piedmont).
I thought there were plans to put an open air type mall along this stretch with a large Belk as one of the anchors before the economy soured. If the Greenville area gets a new mall store type shopping center that area around 385-Harrison Bridge Rd would be as good a place to put it. You think Simon knows something is up because of their rush to remodel Haywood again so quickly.
I know the conceptual layout is different from a layout that would include a larger Ingle's store. The layout can change without notice. If plans include a supermarket like Ingle's, the layout would obviously differ.
Ingle's store 41 and Fairview Station is approaching 25 years of operation.
Thank you, this was what I was trying to find. There was an older one to that had the more shops at green ridge feel to it.
Personally I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to what they did in New Tampa in Florida with the Shops at Wiregrass http://www.theshopsatwiregrass.com/p...rectorymap.pdf. Its really nice to walk around it and at Christmas they have a really nice light show themed to TSO Music.
