I didn't say you did. That's where Bass Pro in Charlotte is located.

Not really that random. Not saying it's the best spot, but I'm sure they did their homework before selecting that location. As long as Spartanburg County and Greer City work together to prevent another Woodruff Rd. it should work well there.

Nah, I don't see how that area could become a Woodruff Road. Clemson Blvd, WO Ezell, Blackstock Rd, Wade Hampton, and Calhoun Hwy will earn that title long before Hwy 101 will.

But yeah, I hope they did their homework. Still think outer Spartanburg or Gaffney was best a little farther from Cabelas and a little deeper into the Spartanburg market, who they said were their main draw. Cabelas is killing it in Greenville, Bass Pro couldve claimed the Eastern portions. But like Costco, the name alone will help sell. Will be interesting to see it all develop.

Word is a Neighborhood Market is going where the flea market is on Hwy. 101. Cannot confirm but source has been correct on a few things I have posted in the past.

I have heard that also. I thought it may be where the old flea market was just above The Barnyard flea market, not sure though.

Residential communities along Highway 101 South and Abner Creek Road have created the need for food retailers. A retail center with a grocery anchor has been planned on the northwest corner at the intersection with Reidville Road for nearly ten years. If it is Walmart Neighborhood Market, I would be glad someone is noticing a food desert created by growth.

Don't hold your breath for anything to happen in July, BPS has not even picked a General Contractor for the site. There may be some sort of city/county utility work going on out there but site construction won't start for a while yet.

Utilities for the site will be provided through Spartanburg County. The City of Greer was unable to annex the site.
