Well that store is part of Concord Mills Mall, which is quite different from a freestanding store. However, with the arrival of BPS in Greer, further retail growth is indeed likely to occur.

every time david britt has commented about ground breaking, it never happens. you would think he would just not say anything until it happens...harder to believe for sure when he does say something

I mentioned earlier in this thread that I'm skeptical about this happening. I really do hope it comes to fruition though. I would love to see a new retail corridor develop along 101.

At least 1 year until Bass Pro Shops opens in Spartanburg Co. - FOX Carolina 21

Article written in September states it will be at least 1 year, maybe two years.

I think it be better for it to be closer to Pelham Road, no further out than Highway 14.

It is amazing how much stuff Greenville has now compared to 20 years ago.

Whether it happens or not, thats a bad spot. Should be in Spartanburg near 26 or 85, or even Gaffney. Very random location. To me thats like putting a 18 screen cinema up past Travelers Rest.

The report from WHNS-TV was in August and updated in September. Being one to two years, the opening could be from August 2016 to August 2017.

I hope Bass Pro Shops moves quickly with construction in the immediate future.
