Latest update on BPS/Cabella's merger is that BPS has partnered with Goldman Sachs Group’s privacy equity arm to prepare a bid for Cabela’s. By partnering with Goldman Sachs, Bass Pro will likely be able to obtain the necessary financing to make a deal with Cabela’s a reality.

I hate that this deal may likely happen. I think Bass Pro and Cabela's offer two different experiences which both stand on their own. If this does happen, I do not think BPS will put their name on the Cabela's stores because the Cabela's brand is so strong.

Does this mean they will still build on 101 with it being so close to Cabelas on Woodruff Rd?

If Bass Pro Shop buys out Cabela's, then the planned BPS for Greer may be cancelled. Too close together for a similar large store in a small market.

While Bass Pro is the biggest name in the possible takeover of Cabella's, there are also other "un-named" ententes also interested in Cabella's.

If BPS does succeed with the takeover, it's likely they will keep the two companies separate, at least for a while. Cabella's is a valuable brand, it would be best to keep their infrastructure intact. Most avid outdoorsman seem to prefer Cabella's over BPS.

If you look the site that BPS was buying near 101 is up for sale now. I think it clearly shows that they will not be continuing the build as previously stated. Sad too see them not build I like BPS.

The sign says "Out Parcels for Sale". Wouldn't that refer to sites surrounding the BPS location @ Hwy 101?
