A report has Bass Pro Shops speaking with the city of Greer in regards to being annexed into the city.
"'There is a strong likelihood that city officials will be meeting with Bass Pro Shops officials to at least discuss the possibility of annexation,' Greer spokesman Steve Owens said."
As predicted. I think my exact words were "as soon as possible."

I live in Greer and love it but man that city is aggressive on annexation. Ever look at their city borders map? Crazy layouts...heh.
It's well delineated on the Greenville and Spartanburg counties' geographic information system maps, but it's still crazy, especially on the Spartanburg side of the county line, both north and south of I-85. Public Access Client
That Spinx station is about to really take off. I hope Stuart remodels it like some of his newer stores in the area.

I would speculate that there is an agreement somewhere that says Spinx can remain in the present location until such time as Pacolet Milliken wants to do something else with the land, which time has now come.
The Greer Citizen reported today that Spinx will be relocating to a new location next to Bojangle's near the intersection of South Carolina 101 and Caliber Ridge Drive.

I imagine that BK, Super 8 and Waffle House will have to relocate also. I don't see those places fitting into to the overall plan of the new shopping center.

Can anyone make them leave if they don't want to?
