As I have written before in many locales, BP operates this way more often than not. On purpose, I don't think so. In my experience with about six of their stores over the past five to ten years, they always run one to two years behind 'original' schedule or they do end up not building due to the project simply falling apart from the weight of the local governmental apparatus set in place to make the financing work.
Getting them is definitely worth it; they are the best of their genre of stores.
Whether it happens or not, thats a bad spot. Should be in Spartanburg near 26 or 85, or even Gaffney. Very random location. To me thats like putting a 18 screen cinema up past Travelers Rest.

That's awesome, but with Cabelas already in Greenville a few exits away, Spartanburg seems like better option, but whats done is done. We'll see how it booms.

I'm really surprised that people are questioning the location choice. I'm pretty sure Greer still has the most housing starts per year, and I believe this is the third year running. Not to mention the fact that 101 is already setup to be another Woodruff Rd or Wade Hampton, but with more lanes than Woodruff Road. Closer to Spartanburg would make very little sense since their economy isn't progressing nearly as fast as Greenville's, and while closer to Anderson is logical due to the lakes, it's not logical since the suburbs between Greenville and Anderson wouldn't support it as much as Greer/101 will. I mean, BPS in Powdersville, or maybe next to Sue's Wings and Things at 81/85?
Yeah that's not good for this development. Also not good for competition. I wonder what either party has to gain from it. The article was not clear about that.
