I'm trying to remember Bonanza, but it's not ringing a bell. Maybe I was too young to remember.

There was a place in the West End a few years back that specialized in chicken and waffles. (I think their name was actually 'West End Chicken & Waffles'.) Don't believe they lasted too long, and they closed before I could check 'em out. Apparently there is/was a place called Johnnie's Fish, Chicken 'n Waffles on Mauldin Rd., but I don't know if that's still around or not.

The chicken and waffles at Bacon Bros. Public House was rated some of the best in the country. It's listed as a specialty at 21 East. Southern Culture Kitchen and Bar has a few variations, including a chicken waffle taco and "Gramma's Revenge" (with egg, bacon, and cheddar).

IHOP and Cheddars both have it on their menu too.

Texas Roadhouse would be smart to add a second Greenville County location. The Taylors location is so busy select individuals are illegally parking in the road or in front of the door creating safety hazards. (Fencing the parking lot to the former fitness center would eliminate this problem.)

Texas Roadhouse or Cracker Barrel would be great additions for Travelers Rest. Prime locations along United States 25 are available on Roe Center Court, Krieger Drive and Benton Road.

Cracker Barrel is overdue for northern Greenville County. The Greenwood location does very well without being located off an interstate highway. The same success can be carried over to Travelers Rest.
