Corrupt leader, but nice place to live. I think it's better than where you are right now.

I hate to see Perry Eichor facing criminal charges. Though he is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law, the City of Simpsonville would be smart to remove him from the office of mayor and find someone to assume the office until the next election comes in 2015.

Obviously g-man430 is just jealous of the city of Simpsonville. There is corruption everywhere, just look at Congress, but there is nothing like small town politics. I would expect some form of corruption in every town in SC and beyond (and if you don't think it's in your town, then your head is in the sand), so at least in Simpsonville, things are being taken care of and justice is being served. That should be an example for other towns, such as where g-man lives.
I'm hearing all sides of the story and really don't have a very good background as some folks here may be able to enlighten us. I know a lot has to do with "Bo-Bo" and the former police chief hiding evidence of a murder. Then they go out to find a good police chief, get one, then after he starts cleaning things up, they fire him. Don't want to tick off the good old boys. They then re-hire the chief. Some then say that he demanded back pay, some say he was offered it. Some lady posts and banner about it on a bridge and is arrested. The Simpsonville PD chases a shoplifter through Fountain Inn and ticks off those folks. Then Chief Grousnel dismisses speaking to the FI Chief, threats are made, etc...
So someone who has better knowledge, please enlighten us. Sounds like a made for TV story...

Can't argue with that. Luckily I will be moving to downtown Greenville come this August.

Sounds like small town Blue Blood politics. Happens all over this country, he just happened to get caught.
