Unless it is built in northern Greenville, I do not see a new shopping center going up. Powdersville and Simpsonville could use retail centers similar to Cherrydale Point.

I would actually locate the shopping center at Interstate 85 (exit 35) and South Carolina 86 in Piedmont in Anderson County. This area will be taking off as Powdersville's growth continues in various directions.

There's still land available in the vicinity of the intersection of I-85 and Hwy. 14. I think this area is also poised to take off, especially with things happening just up the road at Hwy. 101. The land north of Westmoreland and Abner Creek roads has lots of potential.

(I noticed last night that a Dollar General is being built just down Hwy. 14, between D Street and E. Greer Street. Not that DG is the epitome of high-class retail...)

I would like to see another Cherrydale Point at Interstate 85 and South Carolina 14. I would also advise such a retail center have a supermarket. The Pelham-Batesville area is growing and should not be a food or pharmacy desert.
