Actually, Park Sterling's main headquarters won't be relocating. Their regional HQ will be. Too bad UBJ didn't check their sources.

Kind of what I thought.
Makes the thread title of "MAJOR" sort of silly.

Regional is still good for our local economy. For us that actually live here, and care about it.

That's why there are question marks at the end of the thread title.

Maybe Park Sterling will buy a weak Certus Bank and make Greenville the SC headquarters. They could sublease most of the One space to save money.

This is the problem I have with these small print publications......they want to promote Greenville so much that They don't look at what is reasonable. Sure, PS could move but why? Charlotte has been home to their exec team for years, it is the center of their footprint and if they need to hire, they have a deep bench to recruit from in Charlotte. There could be other factors at play if they did want to leave but reason would suggest a bank will stay in a major financial center over moving to a city where they would struggle to attract talent and is not even the state financial center.

Greenville is very important to this state. Plenty of finances are bought into this state by Greenville. They don't try to play it up no more than you try to beat it down.
