The Beacon has gone downhill drastically! We went last weekend. It was the first time I have been there in probably a year or more. Even then, the quality of the food seemed to have gone down, and the prices were about the same. I use to love the chicken sandwiches, the last time I got one, I could barley tell what was on the bun was chicken. Tasted more like rubber. Both my wife and I got the Beacon burger. While it was good, it isn't what it use to be! I finished it and was still hungry. Use to not be able to finish it!!!!! I did though, have my strawberry shake, and enjoyed it!!!!!!!!!

I am not aware of anything happening on the site. Access in and out of it was a constant negative.

Until the intersection of Boiling Springs Road and Candlenut Lane is improved with a traffic signal, the site may remain vacant awhile.

Only reason I ask if because it is recently marked at sold, the gas pumps (and awning over the pumps) have been taken out and I have seen people working inside in the past week or so.

Thanks!

Have any fixtures, equipment and furniture been moved out of the building?

If this Burger King is located near the Cook-Out, then that is probably why they closed. Cook-Out likely stole all their business, and Burger King has been closing many underperforming stores in the last year.

I have observed concerns during my visits here.

When entering or exiting the restaurant, cars were parked along the curb past the drive thru window. The food was not ready at the time the customer was paying at the window. Speed of service could be the concern.

I thought the prices did not justify the food I ordered. The portions were small and the prices were higher. Value could be another concern.

Finally got there ... they seem to be doing good business; wait times are comparable to the one in Taylors. Venue and food is great for the price. Their Prime Rib roasting oven must be larger; they don't run out of Prime Rib as early as Taylors.
