This thread discusses dining option in the city of Spartanburg, South Carolina and surrounding areas within Spartanburg County.
__________

Does anyone have any favorite restaurants in Spartanburg?

I know many people love the healthy and delicious food at Beacon Drive In.

I have to go to Spartanburg for business frequently so I eat lunch there a lot. Cribbs Kitchen and Converse Deli are usually the places I go. When I am there for dinner I usually stick to Cribbs as I have yet to find anything better. And while Cribbs is the best I have experienced, it does not compare (nor do I think it is trying) to American Grocery, Trappe Door, Nantucket or Northampton (my haunts in Greenville).

I would love suggestions for other places there to try that have good food and a good wine list.

Oh, and I have only eaten at the Beacon twice in the 19 years I have been in the Upstate and do not plan to eat there a third time.

Cribb's, Mon Amie and Willy Taco are all good choices.

Cuzina Grill is a great little treasure for all things Greek. Located on E. Main Street next to the Oops Clothing store (also near Willy Taco). I've tried most things on the menu and am never disappointed. Their stuffed grape leaves are the best I've had in these parts, including at the local Greek festivals.

The Flounder Fish Camp off New Cut road is my favorite for Calabash style seafood.

Ricky's Drive In West on Blackstock Road serves my favorite hot dogs.

El Molcajete in Duncan is my favorite Mexican joint.

Vito's Pizza Subs and Pasta at the corner of Arlington Road and 29 in Greer has the best pizza I've found in the upstate.

Wade's on Pine Street is the best meat and three place around.

I am not very fond of this location. The food was not good and the service was horrible. Being the only Mexican restaurant open on Easter Sunday in Duncan, it was the only immediate option.

The Greenville location at North Hills on East North Street is not much better.

El Mexicano in Oakdale Shopping Center down East Main Street (South Carolina 290) into Duncan is very good. I have not been to the other Duncan location near Poplar Springs in awhile.

I should try this out sometime. I like good pizza. I would like to patronize Pizza Hut in Greer without sacrificing service on the core dine in business for quick service delivery.

Sugar and Spice "drive in" near downtown.

Best damn hamburgers I've ever eaten.
