Hi all,

I am looking for recommendations on property management/realty companies that have homes or townhomes for lease. My husband has already moved to Greenville for work, and I will be following once the school year is up (I am teaching currently). We signed a short term lease at an apartment, but it isn't very nice so we are looking to move at the end of August, when our lease is coming to an end. Thats what we get for signing a lease sight unseen, but we didn't have much choice at the time.
Or, any recommendations on neighborhoods that are decent that may have some rentals that we could drive through, or recommendations on nice apartment communities would be good too. We prefer a single family home, duplex, or townhome over an apartment though.
We would like to be in Greer, Taylors, TR, or near those areas, if not in Greenville proper but I don't think our budget will allow us to live in a very nice place IN Greenville.
Looking for 2-3 beds, 1.5-2 baths, pet friendly, yard area for the dog (small is fine), with $1000/month rental budget at most.

If any threads already have all of this information in it, please point me in that direction - I've been looking through the forum for a few days and have found little bits of info about where to not live at in Greenville (west Greenville from what I've read can be sketchy) and some pretty expensive neighborhoods to purchase homes, but we don't want to buy a home right now. We have one we own in Aiken (where we are moving from) and until it is ready to sell we just don't want to purchase. It needs some work.

Anyway. Rambling post on a Sunday morning. Thanks for any help!

Welcome!

We found our current rental townhome listed on Craigslist. The company is Absolute Property Services LLC. They probably have a bunch of other listings, too!

Others that I routinely searched last summer included Goldsmith PM. I remember googling around to find out what the local PM companies were. That plus Craigslist searching!

Thanks! I've been looking at Craigslist every day, but the places I've emailed people about have just ended up being scams Oh well!
I'll check out Absolute Property Services and Goldsmith too!

Does anyone know anything about Sumner Street in downtown Greenville? Found a house for rent there but I don't know anything about the area. I checked out the crime map on the sheriff's website, and there have been some burgleries and robberies near to there since January, but it is very close to downtown (like a mile from Flour Field) so I kind of would expect some things like that.

For a $1000, houses will be harder to find. That budget fits townhomes/apartments better.

But I did find these two:

$1050/mo :291 Milky Way, Greer, SC 29651 is For Rent - Zillow

$900/mo: 3 Clingstone Dr, Taylors, SC 29687 is For Rent - Zillow

Greenville area has several sub-$1000: http://www.zillow.com/homes/greenville-SC_rb/
